Annonciation
No.: 9
Christ portant sa Croix
No.: 8
Yellow Christ
No.: 10 Possibly the work now in the Indianapolis Museum of Art (The Yellow Christ). The 1892 Salon de la Rose+Croix catalogue lists Émile Bernard’s entry title, but without dimensions or description. Bernard is known to have painted several versions of the subject in 1889, including the Indianapolis canvas depicting a robed Christ in Gethsemane. No definitive evidence links that painting to the Rose+Croix exhibition, yet its date, subject, and composition make it the closest known match. The identification remains unproven, and perhaps unlikely, but is included here as the most plausible surviving candidate.
